Private Vendor for Theatre Classes K-12
Parents can register their students for class through the HomeSchool CAMPUS website.
(Make sure you have "2nd Semester" chosen when looking for my classes!)
Future Classes:
***Classes offered to 6-12 grade students may be taken multiple times for new text studies and/or deeper understanding.
***Classes offered to K-5 grade students will be laying foundational understanding and building confidence to create and share ideas.
K-5
Drama
Students will learn the basics of theatre performance. This includes stage vocabulary, roles in a theatre, and also experience on their feet gaining confidence using their body and voice to tell stories in front of their peers. The semester will conclude with a “Drama Production” where they can showcase what they have learned to family and friends.
6-12 grade
Acting
Students will gain a foundational understanding of acting, and experience practicing their skills with a responsibility to memorize and perform. This course will focus on training healthy and helpful habits to access a full range of voice and movement when performing. They will have either a monologue or performance piece with peers to perform at the end of semester Production.
6-12
Classical Theatre
Students will get experience reading, understanding, and using classical language from selected texts for the semester. At the semester’s end, each student will have a full understanding of a classical play, and be able to perform a piece from it at the end of semester Production.

K-5
Set Painting for Drama
Students will learn the basics of theatre production. This includes stage vocabulary, roles in theatre production, and also guided experience painting a set that will be used for the end of the semester “Drama Production” where the K-4 Drama students will showcase what they have learned about theatre performance.
6-12 grade
Theatre History
Students will gain understanding of the historical context of the selected play from the “Classical Theatre” course. At the semester’s end each student will have a full understanding of the selected play’s era, region, and playwright, and will have created a visual display and performative opportunity to share at the end of semester Production.

Improv
Students will learn the “rules” of improv and gain experience sharing ideas, accepting ideas, and using their imagination to explore possibilities of storytelling. At the semester’s end, each student will have experience in sketch writing and playing improv games with an opportunity to perform a game or sketch at the end of semester Production.
